Why register with Bow Valley Mountain Forum?

This is your chance to share what you know about the Bow Valley! Once you have registered, you can post content on this site – such as calendar events, community initiatives and general discussion. You can also return later to edit your postings. Whether you are with organization that wants to publicize its work in the community, or are an individual who cares to keep your neighbours informed – we welcome your participation.

Why do we ask you to register before you can share information?

In order to register, you must submit a valid email address. This deters vandals from posting inappropriate content. It also enables the site administrator to contact you in case you leave out any important information from your posting. (e.g. forgetting to post the location of an event.)

Can other people see my registration information?

The site administrator can see all of your registration information but will never make that information public or share it with a third party. Other users cannot see your registration information unless you post to the site. When you post to the site, your First and Last Name will identify you as the author of that posting. If you wish to post anonymously, you may invent a first and last name (e.g. Kootenay Jack or Mountain Mama). The site administrator will be able to identify you but no one else will. 

Will you spam me?

You will receive one email every eight weeks to remind you that you are registered on the site, and tell you what is new here. This will keep you from forgetting that we have your information, and let you know how to remove your information whenever you wish. Aside from this, we will never send you unsolicited email. Nor will we ever share your personal details with a third party.
