We think that the Bow Valley is a very special place – and we are not alone! There are tens of organizations and thousands of people in (and outside of) the Bow Valley who are interested in the environment, communities, and businesses that call this valley home. They plan the events, activities and initiatives that make our communities so dynamic. We saw great things happening in the Bow Valley and we wanted to help people keep track of it all, in one place.
The Bow Valley Mountain Forum broadcasts community information such as events, community initiatives, volunteer links and more. But this is not “just another website” because we allow you to post your own content on the site – free of charge. Any registered user can post content to the site. This forum aspires to be a repository for everything that the Bow Valley knows about itself, while stimulating collaboration and supporting local organizations.
We encourage you to look through the site – as an organization or an individual – and to leave something behind when you go. Post an event, start a wishlist for your community, publicize a community initiative, or discuss local policies and planning.
The technology we have chosen is on the cutting edge of a new, more dynamic and democratic vision of information-sharing. Bear with us as we iron out the wrinkles and thank you for supporting this pilot project.
Bow Valley Mountain Forum
Your community, your environment, your knowledge.
It’s the local website you build yourself.
