It is difficult not to develop a certain level of literacy about the natural world if you spend a lot of time in the Bow Valley. Chances are you have heard of "wildlife corridors," "sustainability," "prescribed burns," "indicator species" and "invasive species." In partnership with Parks Canada, the Bow Valley Mountain Forum collects and develops introductory information about common ecological terms.

For more information about any of these terms, we recommend you visit the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley. This Resource Centre is the best local source of information about ecological integrity.
