Town of Canmore Multiplex - Public Input Needed
Council is considering using a portion of the Municipal Sustainability Infrastructure (MSI) funding on a multiplex facility that contains aquatics, leisure aquatics, a library, daycare/community space, a climbing wall and small retail space. The facility would be located next to the provincial building as the centre piece of a new gateway to the community on Railway Ave.
Town Council wants to hear your thoughts on their community multiplex proposal. Please come to a public input session at the Canmore Civic Centre (902 7th Avenue) on Monday, November 24th at 6:00 p.m. or Saturday, November 29th at 10:00 a.m. Preliminary concept drawings, financial implications, and opportunities for community feedback will be provide

Backcountry Avalanche Workshop 2008
The Canadian Avalanche Centre is hosting its annual Bow Valley Backcountry Avalanche workshop at the Banff Centre on Saturday, November 22. Local veterans will talk about trips and divulge secrets, rescue scenarios, gear information, hazard framework and decision making. Tickets will be on sale at the door for $20. The workshop will take place in the Max Bell Auditorium from 9:00 a.m. - 5 p.m

2009 Mountain Madness Race Coordinator Required
The Town of Banff is looking for a part-time, paid race coordinator for the 2009 Mountain Madness race. This contract will run from mid-November until mid-February. Contact Community Services at 403.762.1251 if you are interested in pulling together the logistics of this fun, long-standing, community event.
